Meet the Brothers

Free Brothers Photography as you all will know it started as the work of Jonathan and Spencer Free in 2022, but that's just when we got cameras that allow us to capture the moments at the quality they deserve. Raised in northern Utah with the majestic Rocky Mountains just a few minutes away, we’ve been observing and photographing wildlife as long as we can remember. We owe much of our early fascination with wildlife to our dad, Mike, who took us on plenty of adventures growing up and taught us about the animals we found. We’ve now got him hooked on wildlife photography too as our newest team member.

The more we see and experience of nature’s beauty, our appreciation for God's creation and the wildlife that calls them home only deepens. Here, we share the encounters we've been privileged to witness, along with lesser-known facts drawn from countless hours of time in the field. We've had our share of entire days out looking with no luck, but on the flipside we've sometimes been fortunate to show up just in time for the perfect picture right away. When we do get rewarded with a chance at some amazing shots there’s no better feeling. We may be a bit biased, but we believe the elk rut is nature’s most magnificent show on earth.
